Where Should I Be?
Jun. 7th, 2012 05:09 pmI've been active online since 1987, but my preferred hang-out has shifted. It was FidoNet once, then Compuserve, then GEnie, then SFF Net.
It's been SFF Net since 1999, actually. Yes, I've been visible other places (my own website, AOL, LiveJournal, Dreamwidth, Twitter, Facebook, etc. etc.), but SFF Net was my default.
Except things have gotten so quiet there I think I'm about ready to give up. On any given subject there's usually only one or two people who respond to anything I say -- not the same people on each subject, but there are two who discuss baseball, one or two who talk about movies, one on music, etc. I'd really like livelier discussions than that.
Not that I've been getting them here, either, but I haven't posted much of that stuff. I've mostly used this place for writing news, and even that has been a little sparse.
So if I did start posting here about movies, music, baseball, housekeeping, writing that's nowhere near publication yet, and so on, would any of you comment?
